In the midst of Congress’ budget deliberations in Washington D.C., the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) called on Catholics to contact their representative at Capitol Hill and urge them to support defunding Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. The cuts to abortion funding passed in the House, and as the Senate vote awaits, the USCCB has once again requested the public contact their legislators in the U.S. Senate and ask them to support defunding Planned Parenthood, which performs 40% of abortions in the U.S. and currently receives over $790 million in taxpayer funding per year.
Please contact your senators today and let them know that taxpayer funding of the big abortion industry is unacceptable. Mothers and babies need real care from life-affirming providers, not Planned Parenthood.
