USCCB Action Alert – Protect Pregnant Students and Their Children

January 30, 2026

In the midst of Congress deliberations in Washington D.C., the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) called on Catholics to contact their senators and urge them to support the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act, a bill to make sure that colleges and universities provide information to their students on the rights, accommodations, resources, and services available to them to help them carry their baby to term and succeed as a parenting student. This life-saving information would be easily available at orientations, health and counseling centers, on websites, and through emails each semester.

The House of Representatives passed the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act on Thursday, and the Senate is expected to take up the bill next week.

Please contact your senators today and ask them to support this bill. Students do not have to choose between the life of their child and pursuing the life of their dreams.
