Public Prayer and Witness to Stand with Migrants

July 10, 2026

Bishop Ralph B. O’Donnell warmly invites the faithful and all those who wish to come together in prayerful solidarity and support for migrants, immigrants, and refugees. As Catholics, people of goodwill, and followers of Christ, we are called to recognize and uphold the God-given dignity of every human person, which transcends nationality and immigration status. The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that “the dignity of the human person is rooted in creation in the image and likeness of God” (CCC 1700).

This event is intended to be a peaceful and prayerful gathering that raises awareness of the Church’s teaching on immigration and expresses compassion, hope, and solidarity with our migrant brothers and sisters. The event will be on Saturday, August 15, at the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City. Click here for more information.
