Bishop Ralph O’Donnell of the Diocese of Jefferson City joined the MCC staff and Public Policy Committee (PPC) to meet legislators and discuss issues of concern on Wednesday, February 26, 2026. The group met with members of both chambers, including Speaker of the House Johnathan Patterson (R-Lee’s Summit), along with members of Gov. Mike Kehoe’s staff. Topics included immigration, the death penalty, income taxes, criminal justice, and Amendment 3. The PPC also discussed and took new positions on some bills.
