Poll Shows Missouri Voters Favor Pro-Life Amendment

A poll released this week shows that a plurality of Missouri voters back Amendment 3, a ballot measure that would protect women’s health and safety and restore protections for the unborn. The poll, conducted by Saint Louis University and YouGov, surveyed 900 likely Missouri voters about the abortion amendment, among other issues.

The poll found that 47% of voters support the proposed constitutional amendment to roll back the 2024 pro-abortion amendment, 40% oppose, and 12% are not sure. While voters are in favor of Amendment 3, the poll found that 47% of voters think abortion should be legal in the first 12 weeks, while 43% disagree.

Amendment 3 would also make permanent the ban on medical and surgical gender transition procedures for minors that are set to expire next year. The poll found that an overwhelming majority of Missouri voters oppose allowing minors to receive gender transition procedures, with 67% opposing puberty blockers and hormone therapy, and 73% opposing gender transition surgery.
