The largest consumers of pornography are 12 to 17-year-old boys. Today, the internet pornography industry generates billions of dollars between subscription services and advertising fees. The top porn site, owned by Montreal-based company MindGeek, is worth $97 billion. Pornography accounts for roughly 4% of all websites globally, and between the top three largest websites, porn sites get 5.81 billion views per month. The widespread use of pornography has caused a myriad of problems. Studies have shown that pornography promotes violence against women and children, is linked to sex trafficking and prostitution, causes impotency, and destroys relationships.
