On February 17, about 200 people from across the state came to the Missouri Capitol to draw attention to issues that matter to the Hispanic community, and to share their experiences and perspectives with lawmakers.
The day opened with a morning conference, after which participants broke into smaller groups to meet with their regional legislators. The Missouri Catholic Conference (MCC) joined the central Missouri group during these meetings. The event concluded that afternoon with a rally in the rotunda.
Dr. Guillermo Villa-Trueba, Hispanic Outreach Manager for the MCC, was interviewed by the St. Louis Review (click here to read the article) and the Columbia Missourian (click here to read the article) about the event.
