Trump Pardons Pro-Life Activists

January 24, 2025

In keeping with a promise he made during the presidential campaign, President Donald Trump issued pardons for 23 pro-life activists on Thursday, one day before the March for Life 2025. The activists had been arrested for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act while peacefully protesting at abortion clinics. Several of those convicted and imprisoned were elderly and in poor health.

Last week, the Thomas More Society had petitioned the president to pardon those pro-life activists, “many of whom are currently imprisoned for bravely standing up for unborn life.”
