Medicaid Resources
On this page, you will find links to information on Medicaid — the joint federal-state program that provides health coverage to over one million Missouri citizens. Medicaid provides health coverage to pregnant women, children, low-income parents, people with disabilities and the elderly. Even middle-class families often rely on Medicaid when an elderly parent enters a nursing home and their life savings become depleted.
The ballot initiative that Missouri voters approved on the August 2020 ballot will expand Medicaid to the working poor who make up to 133% of the federal poverty level ($34,846/yr for a family of four). The expansion will be paid for by federal dollars with a 10% state matching contribution. You can download a one-page informational sheet on the initiative by clicking the link below.
