August 09, 2024

During Missouri’s primary election on Tuesday, candidates for the U.S. Senate, Missouri state offices, and Missouri General Assembly were narrowed down. According to the Secretary of State’s Office, statewide voter turnout was about 25%. Amendment 1, which would have allowed places that provide childcare outside of the child’s home to be exempt from property taxes, failed to gain support at the ballot box with 54.7% voting against the measure.
