On Mother’s Day 2025, Planned Parenthood released its 2023-2024 annual report, revealing that it provided over 400,000 abortions during the year, an increase of nearly 10,000 abortions from the previous year’s report and a record high in the organization’s troubling history. Meanwhile, prenatal services, miscarriage care, and adoption referrals accounted for less than 13,000 cases. To read the full report, click here.
The document also shows that taxpayer funding increased as well. Public funding for the abortion giant was up by about $100 million from the 2022-2023 report. At $792.2 million, taxpayer dollars were the primary source of revenue for Planned Parenthood, making up 39% of the organization’s combined revenue (Planned Parenthood reported more than $2 billion in income and $2.5 billion in net assets).
In an interview with Catholic News Agency, Michael New, a senior associate scholar at the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute and business professor at The Catholic University of America, stated the following: “From a Catholic perspective it is frustrating that the taxpayer dollars from countless faithful Catholics go to an organization that funds abortion, contraception, transgender treatments, and other activities that weaken families and undermine a culture of life.”
