Catholic New Year’s Resolutions

January 05, 2024

The new year offers an opportunity for us to reflect on the past year and set goals for the upcoming year.

Father Hezekiah Carnazzo, founder and director of the Institute of Catholic Culture, affirms “The new year is the opportunity for renewal of faith, which is central to our Catholic faith. Our baptismal life is relayed throughout our life, and it ought to grow every day of our life. So the new year offers us yet another opportunity for the restoration and fulfillment of our baptismal gift.”

Father Carnazzo suggests practical steps people can take to go deeper in their communion with Christ, such as studying Sacred Scripture, going to confession, and putting up a church calendar.
