Carlos Acutis: The First Millennial Saint

November 22, 2024

Carlo Acutis is the first millennial to be canonized as a saint. He will be canonized on Sunday, April 27 at 10:30 am local time in St. Peter’s Square. Carlo had a great devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and was convinced that the evidence of Eucharistic miracles would help people to realize that Jesus is truly present at every Mass.

Carlo put together an exhibition on Eucharistic miracles that premiered in 2005 during the Year of the Eucharist proclaimed by Pope John Paul II and has been displayed at thousands of parishes on five continents. He also created a website which detailed Eucharistic miracles around the world. You can visit the website here.

Blessed Acutis died in 2006 at the age of 15 after being diagnosed with leukemia. You can read the full article at the National Catholic Register here, and learn more about Carlo Acutis at the official website here.
