USCCB Pro-life Chairman Speaks on Recent State Pro-life Legislative Victories

Archbishop Joseph Naumann, Chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-life Activities, spoke out last week about recent legislative efforts to recognize the humanity of the unborn and seek their legal protection. "The pro-life movement has always had two critical goals: increasing support for mothers and children and eliminating the tragedy of abortion," he said. "As we celebrate these pro-life legislative victories, we reiterate our commitment to supporting all mothers with the care and resources they need. The Church stands ready to help and welcome them." The MCC encourages our network to take these words to heart as legal challenges seek to undo much of what has recently been accomplished here, and to reflect on what else we can do legislatively to encourage life and the well-being of our neighbors.
