Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Biden at the White House on Wednesday. He also addressed Congress, urging lawmakers to approve more aid to the war-torn country with the arrival of winter. 

Pope Francis is also urging Catholics to remember the children in Ukraine this Christmas who are suffering without electricity and heating amid the war. “On this feast of God becoming a child, let us think of Ukrainian children. …These children bear the tragedy of that war, which is so inhuman, so harsh,” he recently said.
