Today is Earth Day, an event intended to reflect care for the earth and the environment. Pope Francis has made care for the earth one of his signature issues. In his 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’, he appealed to the entire human family for “a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet.” “All of us can cooperate as instruments of God for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, experience, involvements and talents.” As we celebrate this day, we encourage you to check out a recent publication we issued on the Glasgow Climate Summit, as well as a podcast we recorded with Dr. Benjamin de Foy, a climate scientist at St. Louis University, breaking down that historic event.
