Time is Running Out to Complete the Census!

Have you returned your census form? If you still haven’t participated in the 2020 Census, you can respond online, by phone, or by mail until September 30, 2020. Because of COVID-19, field operations were suspended in March, but census takers are still following up in person to visit homes that have not responded to the census. Census takers are following all safety protocols. As of September 17, Missouri has a total response rate of 96.0%. To see how Missouri compares to other states click here

The information collected in the census will determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is used to draw congressional districts and state legislative districts. Data collected is also used to determine where hundreds of billions of federal dollars will be spent in the states and to provide insights to local communities on where to build new schools, clinics, and roads to meet the needs of the people.
