As Spring Unfolds, Missouri Prairies Come to Life

Missouri once had thousands of acres of prairies. These diverse ecosystems provided much of the rich soil that now supports our agricultural economy, helping us to help feed the world. Some prairies still exist in Missouri, and the Missouri Prairie Foundation is working to protect and expand them for the benefit of Missouri citizens.
