SNAP Benefits Increase for October 2022

Snap Benefits

On October 1st, food stamp households can expect an increase in their monthly SNAP benefits. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will automatically increase to reflect changes in the cost of living due to inflation. The SNAP benefits increase for October 2022 will help low-income households better meet their food needs.

The regular SNAP maximum benefit amount a family of four can receive in September (which includes the temporary 15 percent increase) is $782. Starting October 1, that amount increases to $835. Also, August is the final month for P-SNAP benefits and beginning September 1, households will receive benefit amounts based on their household income.

Missourians can apply for SNAP benefits 24/7 online by visiting https://mydss.mo.gov/ or sending completed applications and verification documents by email to FSD.Documents@dss.mo.gov or by fax to 573-526-9400.
