The start of the 2019 legislative session is just around the corner, and legislators can begin filing bills as soon as December 1st. The MCC staff will be reviewing and tracking legislation of interest and will be reporting on those bills in the coming weeks. Our 2019 public policy priorities will be finalized and published in mid-January, so stay tuned! To take a look at the public policy priorities from 2018, visit our website.

The MCC website also provides a Legislative Toolbox that contains information on the legislative process, including a list of elected officials, a glossary of legislative terms, and guides on how to contact your legislator. In addition, for those new to the legislative process, or those who want a refresher, we have provided a diagram detailing how a bill becomes law in Missouri.
