Pre-filing of Legislation Begins for the 2023 Legislative Session

Dsc 0557

Thursday, December 1 marked the first day that Missouri legislators could file bills for the 2023 legislative session. The MCC staff will be reviewing and tracking legislation of interest and will be reporting on those bills in the coming weeks. Our 2023 public policy priorities will be finalized and published in January, but for now, you can take a look at the public policy priorities from 2022 on our website.

The MCC website also provides a Legislative Toolbox that contains information on the legislative process, including links to state and federal offices, a glossary of legislative terms, and guides on how to contact your legislator. In addition, for those new to the legislative process, or those who want a refresher, we have provided a diagram detailing how a bill becomes law in Missouri.
