New Memorial to 9/11 First Responders a 'Monument of Sensitivity'

Eighteen years ago this week, thousands of American lives were ended, families were shattered, and our nation was changed forever. The effects of the September 11th attacks didn't stop that day; they've stretched across nearly two decades, leaving physical and emotional scars. By 2024, it's estimated that more individuals will have died from exposures to toxins and other hazardous materials during the resulting recovery efforts than from the attack itself.
