Missouri River Rises in Jefferson City and Across Missouri

Capitol Flooding

The Missouri River in Jefferson City is expected to crest today at 31.5 feet (major flood stage), covering streets in lower-lying parts of the area and complicating recovery efforts in the Capital city. According to the National Weather Service, this is the ninth highest water level on record in Jefferson City. More storms are expected over the weekend, so keep those along the river basin across Missouri in your prayers as well. Click here to see flood levels across the state.
