Gun violence in its varying forms (accidental, suicide, homicide, etc.) impacts every community and parish.
The Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Office of Peace and Justice are bringing together concerned Catholic groups and individuals for a one-day summit tomorrow, Saturday, July 29, to explore the Catholic perspective on the local gun violence crisis and to create a coordinated strategy to address it. Archbishop Rozanski will provide opening remarks, followed by esteemed speakers, a panel discussion, and small workshops.

If you missed it in your diocesan paper or MCC Weekly Update, a few weeks ago we examined the data on gun-related deaths and discussed what the Church says about gun violence in our latest MCC Messenger. Don’t miss the accompanying podcast where we discuss the impact of guns in domestic violence situations and federal and state legislation.
