General Assembly Passes Supplemental Budget Bill

The Missouri General Assembly truly agreed and finally passed HB 3014, a $4.6 billion supplemental budget bill that provides additional funding for Medicaid, education, and pay raises for state government workers. Following passage of the bill, Governor Parson quickly signed it into law. He had proposed many of these same expenditures in the budget he offered at the beginning of the legislative session. The MCC is encouraged that this bill has now been passed, as it includes funding for newly enrolled Medicaid recipients, as well as funds for schools that have faced financial challenges brought on by the COVID pandemic.
