French Fire Department Chaplain Saves Relics from Notre Dame

In the midst of the Notre Dame fire, Fr. Jean-Marc Fournier, the chaplain of the Paris Fire Department, rushed into the cathedral alongside firemen to save the crown of thorns and the Blessed Sacrament. But this was not Fr. Fournier's first brush with danger. According to news reports, he served with the French armed forces in Afghanistan where he survived an ambush that killed 10 of his fellow soldiers and prayed with victims of the 2015 terror attack in Paris. Read more about Fr.
