Feast of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary

Today is the Feast of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth who was pregnant with the Blessed John. It is said that when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:41). Read more about this feast day here.

On this day, pro-life advocates are praying outside the Planned Parenthood Clinic in St. Louis. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be with them as they pray for the unborn and their mothers, and may it fill those mothers with the desire to cherish and choose life for their children.
