Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft is traveling the state to educate Missourians on the ‘Election Integrity Law’ that went into effect on August 28. Members of the House and Senate approved House Bill 1878 during the 2022 legislative session. The new legislation includes a requirement for voters to show a valid photo ID in order to cast their ballot. Other changes in the law will allow for two weeks of no-excuse in-person absentee voting and allow the secretary of state to audit voter rolls.
