Effects of Western Wildfires Visible in Missouri

While wildfires continue to burn in California, Oregon, and Washington, the smoke has become visible in Missouri, creating hazy, milky grey skies in the area. As most of the smoke is high in the atmosphere, air quality in the area should not be affected. It could, however, lower daytime temperatures by a couple of degrees and lead to vivid sunrises and sunsets over the next few days. As we notice the effects of the wildfires in our state, let us continue to pray for the safety of those working to contain the blaze and for all of those who have been affected by the fires.
