Catholic Schools are Worth Saving

As the Coronavirus continues to impact society at large, schools are facing tough decisions on whether to open or prepare for online learning.  Private schools in Missouri educate about 10% of Missouri’s children.  They are in need of our support and will continue to be in need of assistance as this health crisis unfolds.  Congress is currently considering the next round of relief for Americans impacted by this event.  Pray that our Catholic schools survive this crisis and that Congress will offer relief to Catholic and other private schools if financial assistance is provided to public schools in the next relief bill.  This opinion piece from several U.S. bishops outlines why Catholic schools are worth saving.
