
Candidates for the U.S. Senate and General Assembly were narrowed down Tuesday, during Missouri's primary election. According to the Secretary of State's Office, statewide voter turnout was 24.29%. In the bid for the U.S. Senate to replace Roy Blunt, Attorney General Eric Schmitt won the Republican nomination. He will face the Democratic nominee, Anheuser-Busch heiress Trudy Busch-Valentine, in November.
