The Holy Hour tradition goes back to 1674 when Christ appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque multiple times, asking her to spend an hour every Thursday evening meditating on His sufferings in the Garden of Gethsemane. Today, many Catholics continue to make a Holy Hour, usually in the presence of the Eucharist in Adoration. While there is no one way to pray a Holy Hour, Abby Fredrickson at Hallow has put together an outline to use when spending an hour with Jesus.
