For the first time since 2018, Ash Wednesday, which signifies the beginning of Lent, falls on February 14, the feast day of St. Valentine. You might want to consider going a little heavier on the flowers on Wednesday and indulge in the chocolates on Fat Tuesday instead. Either way, Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and prayer and while it is not a holy day of obligation, we do recommend that you attend Mass, if possible.
