Though the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson declared that there is no constitutional right to an abortion, the fight for life is far from over. In its first rally since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the March for Life is organizing its 50th annual event in Washington D.C., where hundreds of thousands of people will walk united down Constitution Avenue in peaceful protest against abortion, which has claimed the lives of over 60 million unborn children since 1973. Traditionally, marchers would travel to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court Building; however, now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, the March for Life plans to march to the U.S. Capitol building to plead with Congress to enact federal pro-life legislation.
This year’s event runs from January 18-20 and features a lineup of speakers including Catholic actor Jonathan Roumie, best known for portraying Jesus Christ in the popular television show, The Chosen. The March for Life 2023 will culminate in the march on the U.S. Capitol building on January 20th.
