20th Anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s Passing

On April 2, 2025, thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square to mark the twentieth anniversary of the passing of Pope St. John Paul II. Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda, President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, reflected on the life and death of John Paul II, stating that his pontificate was “one of the greatest in the history of the papacy.”

The evening included meditations during the Rosary from the teaching of St. John Paul II. Archbishop Wojda stated that, “He was a man of prayer, a man of love, a man of constant service to others.” The Archbishop also noted that St. John Paul II was a model of courage.
